There are certain "groupings" within the BDSM lifestyle as reflected in it's acronym...First, Bondage and Discipline, then Dominance and Submission and thirdly, Sadism and Masochism.  What brings many to the lifestyle is the realization that in reflecting upon their own style in bed, sexually, one may come to realize for example that he or she is naturally and most comfortably Dominant or submissive.

There are degrees in all and Bondage and Discipline are no different.  There are some serious warriors out there with intricate bondage techniques and pain sluts who can really take it all.  But there are also more basic forms of restraint and some mild to moderate discipline that has boundaries and remains remarkably appealing to many.

Finally, there is Sadism and Masochism.  Not something practiced at BDSMingle but respected no doubt.
